New Providence
The island of New Providence is 21 miles long by seven miles wide and home to the Bahamian capital of Nassau. This vibrant city is an important offshore financial centre and offers excellent duty free shopping, lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, art galleries, museums and the world-famous straw market.
Though it boasts every modern convenience, Nassau is rich in history and culture, and a wonderful place in which to explore centuries-old landmarks and fascinating architecture.
