Fishing Dingy

Eleuthera is an island in The Bahamas, lying 50 miles east of Nassau. It is long and thin —110 miles (180 km) long and only 1-2 miles wide.

Running north to south, the eastern side of the island faces the Atlantic Ocean, and the western side faces the Great Bahama Bank. Stand on the Glass Window bridge for an awesome view.

The settlements include from North to South: The Bluff, Upper and Lower Bogue, Current, Gregory Town, Alice Town, James Cistern, Governor's Harbour, North and South Palmetto Point, Savannah Sound, Winding Bay, Tarpum Bay, Rock Sound, Greencastle, Deep Creek, Delancy Town, Waterford, Wemyss Bight, John Millars, Millar's and Bannerman Town.

Airports with regularly scheduled flights to Nassau and the USA are available at North Eleuthera, Governor's Harbour and Rock Sound.

Eleuthera is truly a gem. A wonderful place to explore, beach, and get away from it all. There is a large winter residence population of second home owners from all over the world.
