Long Island is 80 miles long and about 4 miles wide. Situated 165 miles from Nassau and 300 miles from Florida it is an island split by the Tropic of Cancer.

The capital is Clarence Town and is known as the most scenic island in the Bahamas. There are airports in Stella Maris and Deadman's Cay.
